Aas part of a National Scheme to improve working relationships
for all working and playing in the Horse Riding community, RDA
have launched a scheme with the Pony Club, to enable young people
to gain valuable experience and transferable skills, by volunteering
at local RDA Groups.
One of the first ventures in this partnership is the Fylde Pony Club
working with Seaside Venture Group, with Pony Club members
volunteering to lead and side walk our disabled riders, at the
Wrea Green Centre after school on tuesday evening, for three hours.
Each set of volunters work with our riders, and at the end of the period
collect documentary evidence of their work and a Pony Club-RDA
badge.
Says Sara Fryars local badge secretary for Fylde Pony Club "we
have a queue of youngsters waiting to take part, they just love
working with the riders" |
